Our globe-trotting director of social media and visibility, Kevin Mullett, has accepted an invitation to speak this Thursday, June 11, 2015, at the 3rd Annual IN-OH Regional Tourism Conference. “I spoke at this conference in 2013 and they still asked me back,” Kevin quips. Of course, he’s happy to appear again before this group. He’s the featured speaker/presenter in two sessions this time around:
Session 1, from 11 – 11:45 a.m.
“Activating Your Current & Potential Visitors with Online Content”
Kevin will discuss how to produce content that solves people’s problems, answers their questions, evokes emotion, and entertains them at the same time. He’ll also cover how to keep your social channels and website filled with content that informs and converts even if your time and budget are limited. Kevin promises the session will be buzzword free and full of practical advice on ways not only to bring past visitors back but also to attract new ones.
Session 2, from 1:30 – 2:15 p.m.
“Marketing Tips, Tactics, & Tools for People Who Wear Too Many Hats”
This is the perfect session, Kevin says, for tourism professionals who are over-tasked, underfunded, and have bosses who won’t buy them nice things – like the tools they need for success. Kevin will address bosses, too, showing them how to empower their staff with inexpensive tools and educate their staff on how to use those tools effectively. Limited time and limited budgets don’t have to mean limited results, Kevin maintains. Besides showcasing some of the best inexpensive tools available, he’ll also offer tasks and tips to help achieve social media, SEO, AVI production, and other common marketing objectives.
The 3rd Annual IN-OH Regional Tourism Conference will convene on the campus of Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, at the Center for the Visual & Performing Arts. Those interested in attending can find more information and register at http://tourismforsuccess.info/.
